
Black Currant - Chipotle Wings
1 lb chicken wings (cut off wing tips)
1 TBSP TTOV's Caliente Chipotle EVOO
1/2 c. TTOV's Black Currant Balsamic Vinegar**
1/2 c. diced onions
2 tsp minced garlic
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp salt
Heat Caliente Chipotle EVOO in medium saucepan over medium-high heat.
Add onions and cook for 4 minutes, stirring constantly. Add garlic and saute' for 1 minute. Add Black Currant Balsamic and stir to deglaze the pan. Incorporate sugar and salt and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and simmer 10 minutes until thickened. Set aside.
Bake chicken wings at 375 (or grill over medium-high heat) for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and generously brush with sauce, reserving some sauce for dipping. Reduce heat to 300 degrees and bake an additional 30-35 minutes, basting after 15 minutes. Remove from oven and serve with reserved sauce.
**May substitute Raspberry or Black Cherry Balsamic
